General Facility Reservation Information

Interested in planning a tournament or activity for your group or organization?  University Recreation has several indoor and outdoor facility rental options.  Reserve your location online or email urec.scheduling@wsu.edu to request your space.  Visit UREC Space Calendar to research available venues and spaces.  Fees will apply to space rentals.  Teams will need to reserve a field or court if they wish to conduct practice.

Instant Reservations - Racquetball/Squash & SRC 256

Members may create instant reservations for up to an hour for racquetball/squash courts and SRC 256 Fitness Room.  To do this, go to the Facility Scheduling Availability Calendar and log into your DSE account.  You can then filter the category to Racquetball/Squash or Fitness Rooms to narrow the spaces.  Then Click and Drag your cursor for the hour block you would like to reserve.  This will pop up a confirm reservation pop up where you can edit the day and time.  Review the information provided and press the confirm button.

You can manage your instant reservation by clicking the My Reservations link in the top right corner of the Availability Calendar.  If you need to cancel your reservation, click manage on the reservation you want to cancel, then click cancel on the next screen.

SRC 256 Fitness Room Reservations 

SRC 256 is a hardwood fitness room that is available for members to schedule time for individual workouts.

  • SRC 256 may be utilized for individual or small group (ten people or less) practice.
  • Reservations may not be made more than two days in advance and no less than two hours in advance
  • Your reservation is cancelled if you do not show up within the first 10 minutes of the reservation.
  • You or your group may only reserve a one hour time slot. 
  • UREC programming has priority use of the room including 30 minutes before the start of a class and 30 minutes at the end of a class. 
  • The room must remain open at all times during non-programmed use. 
  • The equipment and sound system in SRC 256 are for UREC staff use only.  Please check with the SRC Membership Desk for equipment rental & check out options or bring all equipment needed.
  • You can use the GET App to check out equipment from the SRC Membership Desk in place of your Cougar Card.
  • Please check in with the SRC Membership Desk upon arrival.

Facility Rentals & Reservations

Individuals may request to rent various University Recreation facility spaces using the online Facility Request button on the Facility Scheduling Availability Calendar.  Rental rates vary depending on your affiliation to WSU.  Non-WSU affiliated outside groups must provide proof of $1,000,000 general liability insurance coverage.  From the Facility Scheduling Availability Calendar, groups can click on the + Facility Request button to start the facility rental process.  Once the request is submitted, our facility scheduling team will review, tentatively book the space, send the contract back to your DSE account and schedule a time to review your event logistics.  You will be notified by email of the change of status of your reservation and can view any documents that needs to be agreed to from your My Reservations account at the top of the Facility Scheduling Availability Calendar.  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to urec.scheduling@wsu.edu

Valley Road

Valley Road Playfield is an outdoor field turf facility that can be rented by campus and community groups. This facility is not available for open use by groups but can be rented.  Groups conducting organized practice without a reservation will be asked to leave.  Priority is given to Open Recreation, Intramural, or Club Sports. 

SRC Backyard

The SRC Backyard has 4 sand volleyball courts, 3 outdoor basketball courts, and a general event area that can host groups.   At least one volleyball court and basketball must remain available for open recreation.

Chinook

The Chinook Student Center hosts a large event space, Chinook 150.  This facility can be reserved for group meetings and events.  The esports lounge also hosts a shoutcast booth, which individuals can reserve.

Group Access

Groups of 10 or more qualify for the Group Access rate.

Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability Waivers

Events and access to University Recreation and Chinook Student Center facilities requires individuals and groups to complete assumption of risk and release of liability waivers prior to participation.  Below, you will find the documents you need for your group to utilize your reservation.
